German Chancellor Angela Merkel has defended Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, whose cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad caused anger in 2006: "Europe is a place where a cartoonist is allowed to draw something like this," she said at a ceremony in Potsdam.

US terror expert Steve Emerson discusses the new terror magazine, "Inspire": the first issue of the magazine threatened Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris and others with death, claiming "the dust will never settle down": Emerson says the arrow is going upwards in terms of plots carried out here in the United States or in other countries against US targets, basically carried out by Americans or Western English speaking young Muslims who have radicalized.

Cleric Anwar al-Awlaki puts 'Everybody Draw Mohammed' cartoonist Molly Norris on execution hitlist

A charismatic Islamist terror leader linked to the botched Times Square car bomb has placed the Seattle cartoonist who launched "Everybody Draw Muhammed Day" on an execution hit list: Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki - the radical who has also been cited as inspiring the Fort Hood (Texas) massacre and the plot by two New Jersey men to kill US soldiers - singled out artist Molly Norris as a "prime target," saying her "proper abode is hellfire" and "the medicine prescribed by the Messenger of Allah is the execution of those involved": FBI officials have notified Norris and warned her they consider it a "very serious threat".
