Conservative Political Action Conference 2011
The AHA Foundation had a large presence to raise awareness of honor violence and other core foundation issues at the Conservative Political Action Conference 2011. Ayaan got the chance to say hello to some of her fans at a meet and greet at the AHA Foundation booth, manned by AHA Foundation personnel. She also participated in a panel where she discussed the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood in the upcoming Egyptian government followed by a book signing event for her latest memoir, Nomad.
Meanwhile, the foundation’s Legislative Counsel and Executive Director took the opportunity to hold meetings on Capital Hill to discuss strengthening laws that protect the rights of women and children in the United States.
