Islam TV shamed for backing marital rape
An Islamic television channel in London has been slapped down by Britain’s broadcasting watchdog after it aired a program supporting marital rape, violence against women and describing those who wore perfume in public as prostitutes; Ofcom launched an investigation into the London-based Islam Channel after an independent study found it promoted violent extremist views and repressive attitudes to women.
