Police plea for victims to use honour-based crimes hotline

Detectives have carried out almost 100 investigations into “honour-based” violence and forced marriages in Peterborough (United Kingdom) thanks to a confidential hotline: a total of 98 victims of honour-based violence sought help in the past year through Choice–a 24-hour hotline run by specially trained officers at Cambridgeshire police.
