AHA Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Trey Dimsdale as its new President. A seasoned leader with a deep commitment to advancing liberty and human rights, Dimsdale brings a wealth of experience in strategic leadership, coalition-building, and public advocacy to the organization.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Founder of the AHA Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for this pivotal moment: “Trey’s visionary leadership and dedication to defending freedom align perfectly with our mission. His expertise in leading mission-driven organizations will be invaluable as we expand our impact in protecting and promoting Liberal ideals and continuing the fight against child marriage and female genital mutilation.”
Dimsdale has dedicated his career to advancing liberty, education, and civil society. Prior to joining AHA Foundation, he served as the founding Executive Director of the Center for Religion, Culture & Democracy and held leadership roles at prominent nonprofit organizations, including the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty think tank. A prolific writer and speaker on classical liberalism and human rights, Dimsdale has authored publications such as Work: Theological Foundations and Practical Implications (SCM, 2018) and contributed to outlets including Public Discourse, The Washington Times, and Religion & Liberty Transatlantic.
He is an accomplished legal professional, admitted to the Texas Bar, and holds a law degree and an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and master’s degrees in theology and ethics. He is a member of The Federalist Society, The Philadelphia Society, The Ciceronian Society, and the American Political Science Association, and an associate fellow at The Centre for Enterprise, Markets & Ethics in Oxford, UK.
“I am honored to join AHA Foundation at such a critical time,” said Dimsdale. “The defense of Liberal values—free speech, human dignity, and individual rights—has never been more urgent. I look forward to working with our team, supporters, and partners to strengthen our impact.”
AHA Foundation also extends deep gratitude to Amanda Parker for her leadership as Interim Executive Director over the past year. Parker will continue as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, ensuring the continued success of the foundation’s operations.
