A 1989 honor killing in Missouri of a daughter by her parents was caught on tape by the FBI because the father was under surveillance for links to a Jihadist group.

The girl, 16-year-old Tina Isa, was brutally stabbed for dating a boy and for taking a part-time job. One night in November 1989, after a heated argument, the father cut the conversation short, saying “Listen, my dear daughter, do you know that this is the last day?”

The mother held Tina down while the father stabbed Tina six times in the chest with a kitchen knife. On the tape, the father can be heard yelling “Die! Die quickly!” The parents then called 911, claiming their daughter had attacked them.

The FBI surveillance tapes revealed that their daughter had not attacked them and both parents were sentenced to death by a U.S. Judge. The father died in prison before he could be executed and the mother’s death sentence was commuted by a Court of Appeals. She remains in prison today.
