Child Marriage Outlawed in the Philippines – The Thaiger

The Philippines has criminalized child marriage. Offenders who are caught living with or marrying someone less than 18 years of age may face prison sentences of up to 12 years. People caught arranging a marriage or officiating a wedding ceremony involving an under-age bride may also face a 12-year prison term.
