Female genital mutilation (FGM) is becoming a growing issue in the US, according to a new report.
Although the US has long-standing laws against FGM on its territory and passed further laws in January to stop ‘vacation cutting’, new research by Sanctuaries for Families said up to 200,000 girls living in the country are now at risk of FGM and the number is growing.
