President of AAUP criticizes Yale University Press

The President of the American Association of University Professors, Cary Nelson, has strongly criticized Yale University Press for violating academic freedom in its handling of Jytte Klausen’s new book “The Cartoons that Shook the World”: in his criticism, Nelson argues that Yale University Press is not responding to protests by fundamentalists but rather “anticipating them and making or recommending concessions beforehand”.
