Reduced Sentences in Mob Killing of Farkhunda

An Afghani court has reduced the sentences for the men involved in the mob killing of Farkhunda. Farkhunda was falsely accused of burning a Quran last year, which led to her death. The Afghan Supreme Court removed the four death sentences and reduced nine other sentences in the case. This decision coincided with International Women’s Day, leading to a sense of outrage among Afghani women.
