Students go behind the veil for day of awareness

At the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a group of non-Muslim students “went behind the veil” and wore a headscarf for the day in an effort to “increase awareness” and understand how it feels to wear the scarf in the Muslim style: one of the students who donned the headscarf said “I didn’t want to offend anyone that wears it”.
