Brother Of Slain Texas Girls Defends Father At Vigil

Sarah and Amina Said would have both celebrated birthdays this month. Sarah would have been 18, and Amina would have turned 19.
About two dozen classmates remembered the sisters with pink carnations and pink balloons in hand.
During the vigil, the girls’ brother took the microphone, saying his father
did not kill his sisters.
“They pulled the trigger, not my dad,” he said. His mother, Patricia Said, asked the crowd to forgive her son for his outburst. “Not only did he lose his sisters, but he lost his father,” she said. She said all of it has been more than he can take.
