AHA Foundation’s Groundbreaking New Report on FGM/C in the U.S.
The AHA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that believes in liberty for all. That means liberty from female genital mutilation, honor violence and forced marriages. And it means liberty to challenge the ideology of Islamism - extremism that threatens Western civilization - with rational, Enlightenment thought.
Established by Ayaan Hirsi Ali to put the ideas she writes about into practice, the AHA Foundation works to protect women from honor violence, forced marriage and genital mutilation. Our programs advocate for freedom of speech on campuses and in public debate, and amplify the voices of Muslim reformers.

MEET OUR FOUNDERWhy Support the AHA Foundation
The work of the AHA Foundation is more relevant and critical than ever. Global events point to horrifying accounts of culturally-motivated abuse and murder of women and girls around the world. In the U.S., the number of women and girls suffering from honor violence, coercion and oppression is rising at an alarming rate. The underlying cause is the conflict between our cherished Western liberal values and socioreligious norms that do not respect human rights.
_____________
“I don’t see how anyone who believes in the rule of law and the rights of women could do anything other than support efforts to end female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honor killings - practices that have no place in the 21st century.”
Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google
