UK Implements First FGM Protection Order

The UK has implemented the first female genital mutilation (FGM) protection order which allows police to seize the passports of those suspected of taking girls abroad to have FGM procedures. In this case, the order was created to prevent two girls from traveling to Africa where they are thought to be at risk of having FGM performed.
